Talk Technology has integrated San Diego-based A-Life Medical’s LifeCode technology into a new speech recognition product for radiology, TalkCode. The application permits a radiologist to dictate a report and send the electronic document to A-Life’s data center. The report is automatically interpreted, coded, and returned to the dictating physician.
The turnaround time for a coded report from a voice dictation is said to be less than one minute. A beta test of the product has recently been completed at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City., according to Talk Technology.
