SG&A Consulting launches PACS administrator school

PACS consulting firm SG&A Consulting will introduce its PACS System Administrator School at this month's American Healthcare Radiology Administrators meeting in Las Vegas. Developed by founder and president Stuart Gardner, the course curriculum includes such topics as:

  • An introduction to DICOM and HL7.
  • How to understand and troubleshoot DICOM-related issues.
  • Understanding networking issues (network topology/infrastructure).
  • Project management.
  • Policies and procedures.
  • The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Department workflow pre- and post-PACS deployment.
