British software developer Misys has completed its tender offer for Sunquest Information Systems. The tender offer, made on June 29 for all of Sunquest's shares, valued the Tucson, AZ-based company at approximately $404 million.
Sunquest will become part of the Misys Healthcare division, joining practice management and clinical information systems provider Medic Computer Systems of Raleigh, NC. Misys believes the acquisition will make the firm one of the top 10 healthcare IT companies.
