Cedara Software has formed a strategic partnership with Taiwan healthcare information technology firm Inqgen Technology. Inqgen, a subsidiary of Taiwan's electric and machinery firm Teco Group, will utilize the Mississauga, Ontario-based firm's image management applications, image archiving technologies, and Web viewers in its hospital information systems (HIS) product line.
As a result, Taipei-based Inqgen will be able to offer complete HIS/PACS networks to the Taiwanese marketplace, according to the firms. Cedara values the partnership at $6.1 million. As part of Cedara's distribution agreement with healthcare information technology firm MediSolution, MediSolution will provide PACS software to Inqgen.
