Xtria lands Los Angeles PACS/RIS contract

Healthcare information technology consulting firm Xtria (formerly InformaTech) has teamed up with IT firm 3Di for a consulting contract with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS).

The contract calls for the design and acquisition of an integrated radiology information system and PACS network that will support all of the 45 DHS hospitals and clinics in greater Los Angeles, according to Dallas-based Xtria.

The multiphase program encompasses analysis of the radiology environment, design of the RIS/PACS network, development of a request for proposal (RFP), assistance with vendor selection, and contract negotiations, according to the consulting firm.
