Swedish PACS vendor Sectra reported first-quarter sales of $4.7 million (U.S.), up 4% compared with the $4.5 million reported in the same period last year. The Linkoping, Sweden-based firm had profit before tax of $197,000, compared with profit before tax of $412,000 last year.
Sectra reported favorable sales results in its core medical IT and secure communications operations. During the first quarter, Sectra received several orders for digital radiology systems in Sweden and abroad. The firm said it also achieved a breakthrough in the Danish market, thanks to radiology information system orders from the Odense and Funen hospitals.
