DeJarnette gets Radiance RPM sale

Connectivity and PACS provider DeJarnette Research Systems has sold its first Radiance PACS Manager (RPM) low-cost PACS network. Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, LA, will install RPM, a compact PACS management system based on the vendor's Radiance PACS technology.

RPM includes many of the same features of a full PACS in a scalable package, including prefetching and routing of images, DICOM worklist management capabilities, and archive management, according to the Towson, MD-based firm. To provide these capabilities in a low-cost package, DeJarnette said it combined PACS modules into a compact computer design. Opelousas General will use RPM to archive and distribute radiology images to referring physicians using DeJarnette's TeleShare IQ Web server.
