Canon installs first CXDI-22 bucky/Imaging Suite in western U.S.

Digital radiography provider Canon Medical Systems has completed the first installation of its CXDI-22 digital bucky system integrated with IDX Systems' Imaging Suite software. The Canon system was installed in April at Inland Imaging North Center in Spokane, WA. Two additional systems will complete the installation by the end of the year, according to Irvine, CA-based Canon.

The integration of Imaging Suite with Canon's DR system eliminates the need for manual entry of patient/study order information, according to Canon. In addition, technologists can gain access to patient/study order information on the DR operation screen, and, using a Web browser, can view an electronic worklist of patients and study orders without requiring paper requisitions, Canon said.
