Agfa to buy Mitra

PACS vendor Agfa-Gevaert has signed a letter of intent to purchase its long-time image management technology provider Mitra. Waterloo, Ontario-based Mitra, which has partnered with Agfa for the past 10 years, will continue to provide its services to OEM customers. Mitra will be managed as a separate business unit, and its structure, management team, and employees will be retained, according to Agfa of Mortsel, Belgium.
