PACS and teleradiology provider RadInfo Systems has introduced CD PowerPACS, a product designed to distribute DICOM images with patient medical records on one CD. CD PowerPACS includes the Herndon, VA-based firm's DICOM viewer, and can be viewed on any Microsoft Windows-powered PC without the need for additional software.
RadInfo Systems believes that CD PowerPACS could replace the need for laser film at imaging centers. Full CDs can be recorded in minutes, and the customer’s facility logo and unique study identifiers are included on each CD, according to the firm.
CD PowerPACS is available for purchase in the U.S. and in international markets, and comes in five versions for facilities ranging from small imaging centers to large enterprise healthcare systems. List prices begin at $20,000, and include maintenance and 24 x 7 support for the first year, according to the company.
