Swedish PACS and digital mammography developer Sectra-Imtec is partnering with Linköping University and the Swedish county of Östergötland to create the Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV).
CMIV will, among other things, evaluate how new clinical methodologies can be developed with the help of PACS technology. The center's research will focus on how the digitization of radiology can facilitate the work of clinicians and radiologists, according to Sectra.
The new research center will be a part of Linköping University, and will be closely affiliated with the National Supercomputer Center within Linköping Institute of Technology, as well as the radiology department of Linköping's University Hospital, according to Sectra.
