Swedish PACS firm Sectra-Imtec has signed an agreement with Research Systems to integrate that vendor's Watsyn application development platform into its PACS offerings. Watsyn allows developers to rapidly design and integrate flexible medical imaging applications, according to Linkoping-based Sectra. Sectra said that any application written using the Watsyn software will run as a plug-in on the Sectra PACS workstation, without requiring any additional coding.
