Emageon lands new clients

Enterprise image management firm Emageon has signed on Genesys Health System in Grand Blanc, MI, and St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, AL, as new customers for its PACS technology.

As part of a new digital imaging network, Genesys Health System will deploy Emageon's enterprise image management software suite to provide a total RAID-based archive for its 10-county system. The five-year contract will provide enterprise-wide diagnostic and clinical viewing of over 800,000 studies, according to Emageon.

In another five-year deal, Emageon will provide its software technology to St. Vincent's Hospital, a 338-bed Ascension Health hospital, to manage acquisition, archiving, distribution, and viewing of digital images, according to Emageon of Birmingham, AL. Emageon said it would provide enterprise-wide diagnostic and clinical viewing of over 700,000 diagnostic procedures.
