Enterprise image management provider Emageon has added the St. Louis-based Sisters of Mercy Health System to its client list. Mercy operates facilities and services in an eight-state area, and generates over 1.6 million procedures per year, according to Emageon.
Mercy will initially use the Birmingham, AL-based vendor's enterprise image management software to provide archiving and distribution services for two of its acute-care hospitals and clinics, according to Emageon. The contract, which runs through 2006, will result in Emageon's managing over two million studies. Additional Mercy facilities will also have the opportunity to use the firm's services, Emageon said.
