Fuji and VitalWorks sign RIS/PACS deal

Fujifilm Medical Systems USA and VitalWorks have agreed to integrate Fuji’s PACS and VitalWorks’ RIS and market the combined system to the U.S. imaging center market.

Stamford, CT-based Fuji has been looking to expand distribution of its Synapse PACS product line outside the hospital setting, according to the company, while Ridgefield, CT-based VitalWorks said it recognizes that PACS is increasingly important to imaging centers’ competitive success.
