Israeli PACS vendor Algotec has introduced version 4 of its MediSurf Web-based primary reading station. The new release incorporates many primary reading capabilities into a Web browser, avoiding the need for dedicated diagnostic reading software to support advanced functions, according to the vendor.
New features include automatic grouping of cross-sectional images for stack reading, advanced linking features for cross-sectional imaging studies, automatic calculation and display of cross-reference lines for images acquired at different orientations, and an edge enhancement filter. MediSurf can now save and display graphic annotations over images, and support dual- and high-resolution monitors and Postscript printing, according to the firm.
