GE Medical Systems Information Technologies will provide PACS software, equipment and accessories to group purchasing organization HealthTrust Purchasing Group. HPG members will be able to purchase the Waukesha, WI-based vendor's PACS products, as well as networking expertise, consulting services, computed radiography systems, and CR accessories.
GE has already installed several full PACS sites under the contract in the Richmond, VA, area, including Chippenham Medical Center, Henrico Doctor's Hospital, Retreat Hospital, Johnston-Willis Medical Center and John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell, VA. Other sites include Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver; Medical Center of Aurora in Aurora, CO; Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA; and River Region Health System in Vicksburg, MS.
The deal began on December 1, 2001, and runs for three years. GE also supplies Brentwood, TN-based HPG with radiology, cardiology, and monitoring equipment and related supplies and services.
