Agfa to outfit Greenville Hospital System

Agfa HealthCare will provide its Impax PACS network, ADC computed radiography systems, and professional services at the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, SC.

The Impax network will provide enterprise-wide management of radiology and cardiology information for hospital facilities and associated clinics. It will manage over 250,000 exams, reports, and associated information annually, according to the vendor.

The PACS will archive 10 terabytes of storage per year, which will be managed on a storage area network. Redundant copies will be stored using tape libraries, according to the Ridgefield Park, NJ-based firm.

Agfa said it would also install its CR systems for use in routine, emergency, and portable radiographic exams across all facilities. The firm will also provide workflow analysis, project management, and in-house and corporate applications training.
