Emageon releases new software

Application service provider Emageon has released version 3.0 of its enterprise image archive and distribution management software. The new release includes enhanced cardiology imaging support, low-cost and high-availability configurations, and all-RAID archiving, according to the Birmingham, AL-based firm.

Emageon said the cardiology enhancements are part of its goal of providing enterprise medical image management. Further support for nuclear medicine, ophthalmology, pathology, dermatology, and other applications is also planned, according to the company.
