Eastman Kodak has received a multimillion-dollar order for its computed radiography and PACS equipment from NorthEast Medical Center in Concord, NC. The purchase includes a DirectView PACS network with an EMC online storage system, a StorageTek L700 tape library, 20 DirectView diagnostic and referral workstations, and eight DirectView CR 900 and CR 800 systems.
The Rochester, NY-based vendor expects to complete the installation by the end of March, with the addition of Web-based distribution capabilities planned by the end of this year. In 2003, NorthEast Medical Center plans to open a new outpatient imaging center, which will also be linked with the facility's PACS network, according to Kodak.
