North American Imaging Technology Products is adding a CA+ Cine-to-DICOM conversion module to its DICOM box product family. CA+ is a universal DICOM interface for ultrasound, fluoroscopic, and cardiac applications. The product performs cine acquisition and lossless and lossy image compression, as well as DICOM classes such as the modality worklist performed procedure, step and archive confirmation, and storage commit step.
CA+ is capable of capturing approximately 10 seconds of video information at 30 frames per second in full-color RGB or 1K x 1K in monochrome mode, NAI said. It also features several acquisition modes including prospective, retrospective, and R-wave trigger recording, said Paul Dempster, NAI general manager. The Auburn, CA-based firm plans to begin shipping the product in July.
