Agfa HealthCare has released a standalone Impax diagnostic workstation, DS3000, aimed at community hospitals and imaging centers seeking a cost-effective alternative to PACS.
DS3000 is packaged with Agfa’s workstation review software, as well as a Microsoft SQL database. The product enables users to access, interpret, and report image data from the company’s ADC CR units, as well as exams from other modalities.
The standalone model has the same features and functions as its equivalent in Agfa’s enterprise PACS solutions, according to Robert Cooke, vice president of global informatics for the Ridgefield Park, NJ, company.
