Agfa HealthCare has released the latest version of its Impax for Cardiology image management system, which now includes information integration, as well as image management and workflow-optimization features for cardiology and other image-producing departments, the vendor said.
The new release allows physicians to use one workstation to view all cardiology and radiology images, as well as perform cath lab measurements, according to Agfa of Greenville, SC. Taking advantage of HL7 and DICOM standards, Impax for Cardiology can integrate with a hospital's HIS, according to the vendor.
Agfa said that future Impax for Cardiology versions will enable users to perform echo measurements and generate cath and echo reports using either a structured report or the vendor's TalkStation speech recognition offering.
