Matrox to debut graphics cards at RSNA show

Medical imaging graphics card developer Matrox Graphics of Montreal will be unveiling a new suite of product offerings at next month’s RSNA meeting. The developer will be showcasing its MED series of cards that range from two to five megapixel configurations.

The series features analog outputs incorporating integrated random-access memory digital-to-analog converters (RAMDACs), programmable lookup tables (LUTs), and a maximum RAMDAC speed of 550 MHz; the digital outputs use programmable transmission-minimized differential signaling (TMDS) transmitters.

The cards support the Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, and NT 4.0 operating systems, and are designed for displaying true 256 distinct shades of gray at review and diagnostic stations, as well as at modality application workstations such as x-ray, MR, CT, CR, and cardiology imaging, according to the manufacturer.
