Display provider Planar Systems is debuting Dome C5i , a five-megapixel flat-panel display, at this week's RSNA meeting. C5i, which joins Planar's two-, three-, and five-megapixel flat-panel offerings, yields 3,061 distinct, displayable gray shades, according to the Beaverton, OR-based firm.
C5i includes the firm's RightLight automatic luminance stabilization and calibration technology, as well as its CXtra software components. The 21.3-inch displays are available in both single- and dual-head systems, Planar said. Shipments are scheduled to begin in early 2003.
