Dictaphone, eMed to partner

Speech recognition and digital dictation firm Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions Group and PACS vendor eMed Technologies have inked a joint marketing and development agreement. The two companies will integrate Dictaphone's PowerScribe speech recognition system with Lexington, MA-based eMed's Ideal image management suite.

In other Dictaphone news, the Stratford, CT-based firm has installed PowerScribe at three radiology departments within Mercy Health System of Southeastern Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. The order represents a total of 29 user seats, Dictaphone said.
