PACSGear is filling out its PacsScan document management suite.
New additions to the product line include Form, which allows users to create documents such as patient histories and technologist notes in an electronic format, eliminating the need to print and stock forms, according to the Pleasanton, CA-based firm. Form has built-in support for the DICOM work list protocol, and allows users to automatically populate key fields, PACSGear said.
Users have the option to enter text, draw, or select from predefined lists. Once the form is completed, it's then sent to the PACS as an image series, and made available to the radiologist at the time of diagnosis, PACSGear said.
The company will also discuss the latest release of its Film film-scanning package. New enhancements include support for the DICOM digital mammography standard and an automated segmentation and alignment option for extracting individual frames of multi-image film. This allows for display in a stack mode or cine loop, PACSGear said.
PACSGear has also upgraded its PacsScan document-scanning package, adding tighter integration with software from several PACS vendors to allow PacsScan to be launched from the PACS workstation. In addition, the firm will show the latest version of PacsScan Enterprise, which provides enterprise-wide storage and management of all patient-related documents.
