AMS debuts PACS-1M

PACS vendor American Medical Sales (AMS) has launched PACS-1M, a self-contained PACS product for single-modality practices.

The system has diagnostic workstation software, image distribution, DICOM archive, and DICOM image backup capabilities that can store data from multiple patients and multiple image sets on the same media, according to the Hawthorne, CA-based company.

PACS-1M is targeted toward chiropractic, veterinary, and general practice medical offices that utilize DR or CR, the company said. The system has a suggested list price of $11,950, which covers hardware and software, AMS said.
