PACS vendor Brit Systems will be introducing its Roentgen Burner offering for producing custom-labeled CDs and DVDs at the 2006 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting in San Diego.
Roentgen Burner combines Brit's production server with one of Rimage's CD and/or DVD production systems, according to the Dallas-based firm. The disks include Brit's image viewing software.
In other HIMSS introductions, Brit will be showcasing RIS/PACS synchronization and a bidirectional HL7 engine for its Roentgen RIS. The synchronization tools autoroute all studies to a peer or central server where all changes to study information are sent, according to the firm.
All order and report information is sent as database objects, along with user information, management reports, and modality information, Brit said. Brit is also unveiling an order creation and scheduling feature that allows online referring physician scheduling requests, procedure modifiers, and default exam duration and report management, editing, and distribution.
