PACS vendor Amicas reported fourth-quarter revenues of $14.2 million, up 17% from the $12.1 million posted in the fourth quarter of 2004. For the period (end-December 31), the Boston-based firm had net income of $1 million, compared with a net loss of $9.9 million a year ago.
Amicas had total revenues of $52.7 million for the year, up 25% compared with the $42.3 million posted for 2004. The company had a loss from continuing operations of $2 million, compared with a loss from continuing operations of $26.5 million during 2004.
Looking ahead, Amicas said it expects total revenues for 2006 to increase between 17% and 20%, with operating income to be 3% to 5% of revenue. When adjusted to exclude depreciation and amortization, operating income is expected to be around 10% to 12% of revenue.
