PACS firm American Medical Sales (AMS) has upgraded its Catella Scan Station film digitizer.
Scan 5 adds the ability to scan x-ray films up to 51 inches in length without any special operator intervention, according to the Hawthorne, CA-based vendor. The new version also includes new administrative and set-up features, allowing technologists to optimize an image prior to the physician’s review, AMS said.
