Monitor distributor Double Black Imaging said that it has partnered with Sharp Electronics to release PN-455, a 45-inch color LCD for use in operating and emergency room environments.
The PN-455 features a full 1920 x 1080 resolution, 500 candela per meter squared (cd/m2) brightness, and a contrast ratio of 800:1, according to Westminster, CO-based Double Black. The display is resistant to image retention or burn-in effects and has multiple inputs, as well as a 2.3-megapixel fully digital graphics controller and DICOM calibration software designed for medical imaging applications, the company said.
