Image management firm Emageon is planning to introduce its RadSuite package of productivity tools at the 2006 annual meeting of the Society for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) in April.
RadSuite includes features such as Enterprise Body Transparency, which employs the OpenGL graphics standard to provide native rendering of 3D volumes using real-time ray-tracing, according to the Birmingham, AL-based vendor. It also includes integrated 2D/3D tools, technologist QC workflow, and Web administration tools, Emageon said.
Emageon has also included StudyNotes, integration with PowerScribe, and Personal Content Manager with JPEG2000 compression for access from home, office, or the hospital, Emageon said.
In other Emageon news, the company has inked a deal with H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute Hospital in Tampa, FL. Emageon will be providing the institution with its digital healthcare information management technology.
