PACS vendor ScImage said it will partner with Bethleham, PA-based orthopedic healthcare information technology developer Exscribe to provide an integrated electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS product for orthopedic physicians.
Under the terms of the agreement, Exscribe's E-Record EMR software will be extended to include functionality to share patient demographic information with, submit electronic x-ray orders to, and display study images from Los Altos, CA-based ScImage's PicomEnterprise PACS.
The companies will unveil the application this week at the 2006 American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) conference in Chicago.
