Orthopedic template and surgical planning technology developer Orthocrat of Petach-Tikva, Israel, has released the latest iteration of its TraumaCad application, version 1.5.
The newest generation of the software features improvement in implant and fragment manipulation, as well as line visibility, window leveling, resolution, and transposition from AP to lateral capabilities. In addition, Microsoft Excel database export is supported, as is automatic template updating through a proxy server, the developer said.
Version 1.5 has also been enhanced with subspecialty-specific measurement tools, a pediatric pelvic tool wizard, a growth calculator supporting Dr. Dror Paley's multiplier for prediction of limb length discrepancy and timing of epiphysiodesis, and automatic offset and leg length discrepancy analysis in THR preoperative planning.
Orthocrat said that current users will receive upgrades automatically through TraumaCad's automated Web software upgrading and template library management system.
In related news, the company has signed an agreement with Canadian radiology informatics developer RamSoft of Toronto to distribute TraumaCad as part of its PACS, Orthocrat said.
