Kodak gets FDA OK on cardiac PACS apps

Eastman Kodak Health Group has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance for specialized cardiac functions in its CareStream PACS application.

The new features, cardiac review and analysis, cardiac cage removal in 3D imaging, and cardiac calcium scoring, are being integrated into the next version of CareStream that is scheduled for release later this year, according to Rochester, NY-based Kodak.
