AUSTIN, TX - Software developer Compressus of Washington, DC, has signed a deal to install its MEDxConnect system at 11 sites operated by Advanced Radiology Consultants of Illinois.
The ARC implementation includes Advocate Lutheran General Hospital of Park Ridge, IL, and a number of satellite facilities in the Chicago area. The group reads and creates diagnostic reports for more than 250,000 medical imaging exams a year.
MEDxConnect is designed to help facilities with PACS and RIS networks from different vendors communicate with each other by creating a virtual archive and database that manages data stored in propriety formats. The system's ConnectServer uses image compression technology to facilitate faster image transmission, and the software also includes image review capabilities like remote image viewing and report creation.
