Expert Medic, an electronic recordkeeping developer based in Pittsburgh, has unveiled a demonstration healthcare information technology (HIT) package for sports medicine clinicians, organizations, and athletes.
The package uses Philips Medical Systems' iSite Platform Application Programming Interface (API) and its iSite PACS to enable sports teams and athletes to incorporate electronic health records with medical images. As a result, physicians can access comprehensive patient records whether an athlete is injured on the field, in the training room, at home, or on the road. Expert Medic is collaborating with National Football Scouting on the project.
