Codonics will unveil its Horizon XL multimedia imager and its Virtua medical disk publisher at the 2006 RSNA conference.
Horizon XL is a multimedia dry long-film orthopedic imager. It prints digital stitched images from CR/DR studies on one continuous film, according to the Middleburg Heights, OH-based firm. The 14 x 36-inch or 14 x 51-inch film is daylight-safe and folds to fit in a standard film jacket, Codonics said.
XL can also print on various other sizes of film, color paper, and grayscale paper, and can support 24 DICOM connections, Codonics said.
Codonics also will be directing attention to its Virtua medical disk publisher, which records studies and prints in full color directly on to a custom CD or DVD in one step. The network-based burner offloads disk recording from the modality and PACS workstations to avoid any workflow interruptions, according to the firm.
Other Virtua features include a built-in interface with a touch screen, automated labeling, and a built-in Web server.
