DeJarnette Research Systems

DeJarnette will highlight several new upgrades in its RSNA booth this year.

The company will present version 3.0 of its dyseCT CT workflow engine, which is an automated system for splitting whole-body CT studies into separate studies based on the RIS order. The new release includes the ability to break up thoracic spine, lumbar spine, and reformatted studies, according to the Towson, MD-based firm.

DeJarnette will also release version 2.0 software for its Intelligent Router device. The new release includes features such as multiple routing rules for each source, support for complex study/series/order filters in query routing, an option for study level query/move in prefetch routing rules, and multiple prefetch rules per DICOM modality worklist provider and per DICOM query/retrieve provider, DeJarnette said.

Other new capabilities for version 2.0 include support for wildcard matching in filters, manual routing/retry of studies, support for filtering modality worklist orders by modality and other parameters in prefetch and query rules, an improved user interface, and improved detection of "study complete," DeJarnette said.

In other product developments, DeJarnette will highlight version 2.1 of its PACSware migration toolkit. The new release includes features such as the migration of legacy PACS networks from Canon Medical Systems of Irvine, CA; a separate graphical user interface for scheduling; support for separate prefetch and background migration schedules; and wider support for DICOM objects. Availability is expected in the first quarter of 2007.

DeJarnette will also debut xDL, a cross-enterprise document librarian. xDL provides a document management layer that can be placed on any inexpensive and reliable storage media, according to the vendor.

Based on DICOM, HL7, and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) standards, xDL supports patient updates, order reconciliation, and clinical document storage and retrieval, DeJarnette said. xDL is targeted for commercial release in the first quarter of 2007.
