Radiology interpretation services provider Franklin & Seidelmann Subspecialty Radiology (F&S) of Cleveland, OH, has forged an alliance with teleradiology firm Apex Radiology of Coral Springs, FL.
Under terms of the agreement, F&S will use Apex to provide general and nighttime radiology readings for some of its imaging center, hospital, and radiology group clients. Modalities will include x-ray, ultrasound, and CT. In turn, F&S will provide subspecialty expertise for some of Apex's clients. Clients for each company will continue to have contact with their established interpretation provider. The two companies plan to complete a system integration of their individual teleradiology platforms by January 1, 2007.
F&S's network includes more than 30 subspecialty radiologists licensed in 50 states, including board-certified musculoskeletal, body, and cardiovascular specialists, as well as neurologists. F&S radiologists also have additional training with 1.5- and 3-tesla MRI, multidetector-row CT (MDCT), and PET/CT, according to F&S.
