Toshiba America Medical Systems of Tustin, CA, and healthcare informatics firm McKesson of Richmond, British Columbia, have launched Horizon Medical Imaging Store 100, a miniPACS package available for use with Toshiba products.
The package will help smaller hospitals and imaging centers to store data easily and cost-effectively, according to the two firms. Compatible with Toshiba's Aquilion CT product line and its Aplio XG, Nemio XG, and Xario ultrasound products, Horizon Medical Imaging Store 100 allows users to store cases online without an enterprise PACS system.
If a facility eventually needs more storage, the package can be expanded to McKesson's full PACS package, Horizon Medical Imaging, the two companies said.
