Archive developer and medical informatics company Candelis of Irvine, CA, has launched the next generation of its ImageGrid 1500 PACS appliance.
Designed to handle data-dense imaging modalities like 64-slice CT and MRI systems, the appliance has up to 11.25 TB of capacity, according to the Irvine, CA-based company. Candelis plans to market ImageGrid 1500 either alone or bundled with its ImageGrid ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) software, which is integrated with Sony's Advance Intelligence Tape (AIT) library.
With ImageGrid ILM software, radiologists can store dated images and data on tape for long-term archiving, and make the most of disk storage capacity with the software's storage retention feature. ImageGrid 1500 is compatible with any DICOM imaging modality and workstation, including volumetric workstations. It can handle more than 100 million images.
Candelis has also introduced ImageGrid View and added Health Level 7 (HL7) support. ImageGrid View is a Web-enabled image viewer, and HL7 helps users integrate with existing HL7 healthcare information systems (HIS) and RIS.
