Diagnostic medical display developer Planar Systems of Beaverton, OR, has upgraded its Dome EX line of diagnostic displays to increase resolution, scalability, and usability, based on its Dome DA4 architecture.
Dome DA4 displays up to 1,024 calibrated shades of gray, four times that of standard medical displays, according to Planar. The company's Dome EX line of products is designed for radiology, cardiology, nuclear medicine, PET/CT, and operating room applications.
Dome E4c features a 30-inch, wide-screen 16:9 format with 4-megapixel resolution and DICOM calibration for grayscale images and displays 1,786 shades of gray. Dome E5 features 5-megapixel resolution and displays 3,061 shades of gray.
