Engineering and design firm Zen Engineering Network of Jersey City, NJ, has inked a deal with German software developer CHILI to support and distribute that company's PACS software and services in the U.S.
P>The companies have formed CHILI U.S.A. as a joint venture for distributing healthcare appliances and diagnostic workstations powered by CHILI's PACS software. The CHILI software is based on the Linux operating system and can be used as building blocks that system architects and radiology service providers can use to improve and adapt their PACS infrastructure, the companies said. The companies previously have been cooperating in China.
CHILI workstations are available in models that support all types of diagnostic imaging applications, include a low-cost Linux-based clinical workstation as well as high-end diagnostic workstations with up to four 5-megapixel DICOM-calibrated displays.
