PACS vendor NovaRad has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance for reading and interpreting mammography studies on its NovaPACS product.
The American Fork, UT-based vendor said that it uses the DICOM standard for the distribution and viewing of mammography studies, including window/level/zoom, as well as volumetric measurements on NovaPACS. NovaRad said it also provides the 5-megapixel LCD monitors used for reading mammographic studies.
