Peter Karoly, the chairman and CEO of PACS developer eRad of Greenville, SC, was killed in a plane crash in New Bedford, MA, last Friday.
Also killed in the crash was Karoly's wife, Dr. Lauren Angstadt, along with the pilot of the single-engine plane, Michael Milot, according to the Associated Press.
The AP reported that the plane, a six-seat Socata TBM-700, crashed on its second approach at New Bedford Regional Airport while trying to make an instruments-only landing in foggy weather.
