Digital radiography vendor Canon Medical Systems will showcase several new products at this week's American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) meeting in San Diego.
In addition to its portable DR systems, the Irvine, CA-based firm will highlight the new version of its DR Image Viewer software. The latest release includes DR Image Viewer Light, which permits an image to be copied to CD/DVD media with or without a subset of the viewing and manipulating tools, according to the vendor.
In printing developments, Canon will present its Pixma Pro9000 printer, which is an eight-color ink printer that prints up to 13 x 19-inches on plain paper and specialty media, Canon said. Other introductions include imagePrograf iP500, a 17-inch printer that incorporates Canon's new five-color, dye-pigment reactive ink system. It can be used to print long images such as long leg or other stitched images, Canon said.
