U.K. software developer Meridian Technique will be introducing version 5 of its OrthoView orthopedic planning software at June's annual meeting of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM).
OrthoView 5 includes a feature that allows users to visualize the bending of trauma templates on-screen, according to the Southampton-based firm. The software also includes a new limb deformity module, which is designed to facilitate planning of full-leg and single-bone osteotomies; users can plan deformities in the frontal, sagittal, or oblique plane, Meridian said.
The tool offers visualization of planned corrections, and supports templating of internal and external fixators, Meridian said. The company has also added other new templates, including a range of periarticular plates.
