Teleradiology services provider NightHawk Radiology Holdings has purchased fellow teleradiology services provider The Radlinx Group for $53 million.
The deal significantly expands NightHawk's core off-hours business, strengthens its partnerships with radiology groups, and extends its capability of providing radiology services, according to NightHawk of Coeur d'Alene, ID. Irving, TX-based Radlinx provides teleradiology services in the U.S. with doctors located solely in the country, NightHawk said.
The acquisition of Radlinx and its 303 hospitals increases NightHawk's customer base to over 1,300 hospitals nationwide, according to the firm. Radlinx is expected to contribute $17 to $19 million in revenue for the remainder of 2007, and approximately 5¢ to adjusted earnings per share (EPS) in 2007.
